Finding your way around
The menu on a computer and on a phone, what the red dots mean, and where Settings, Account and help are kept.
On a computer or tablet
The bar across the top holds the pages you use every day:
- Home, Calendar, Requests and Templates, on the left.
- + New meeting, the button on the right. (It reads New appointment, New inspection or your own word if you changed What you schedule in Settings.)
- Your initials, at the far right. They open a menu with Notifications, Settings, Help and feedback, Knowledge centre, Account and Sign out.
- The ? beside your initials opens the help for the page you are on, in a new tab.
On a phone
The places are in a row along the foot of the screen, where your thumb is: Home, Calendar, New (the round + in the middle), Requests and More. More holds Notifications, Templates, Settings, Help and feedback, Knowledge centre, Account and Sign out.
At the head of the screen is a slim bar with the Chalkedin mark. Your initials at its right open Notifications, and the ? beside them opens the help for the page you are on.
The red dots
- On Requests: replies you haven’t opened yet. Opening the Replied list clears it, and the new ones are marked New on their cards.
- On your initials (or More): notifications not yet read, and replies to messages you sent us.
The strip under the menu
While Chalkedin is in beta, a strip under the menu says how long your free beta has to go, with links to what happens after it and to send us feedback. An important notification you haven’t read also shows in a band here until you open it.
Settings has tabs
Settings is one page with seven tabs: Scheduling, Sending, Privacy, Your details, Calendar, Appearance and Statistics. Each tab has its own Save settings button. Lines marked More about this fold open for the detail. See A tour of Settings.
Still stuck?
In Chalkedin, open Help and feedback from the menu under your initials (More on a phone) and tell us what happened, or email [email protected].
