Your chalk colour and how the link looks

One colour draws Chalkedin for you and your customer. Choose it, and choose how the link looks in your emails.

Where: Settings › AppearanceOpen in Chalkedin

Choose your chalk colour

Under Settings › Appearance, pick from Teal, Clay, Ink, Plum or Slate, and press Save settings. It draws the buttons, the menu, the tabs, the highlights and the Chalkedin mark, on your pages and on the page your customer answers from, and the button in your emails.

  • Mouse-over shade: how far a button lightens (or, with a negative number, darkens) when the pointer is over it. Ten is the usual.
  • Button text colour: Automatic picks white or near-black, whichever reads better on your colour. The page shows the contrast so you know it reads well.

The front page, sign-in and sign-up are shared by everybody, so they keep the standard Chalkedin teal whatever you choose.

  • Link style: Button, filled in your chalk colour with Respond to this time on it (the easiest to see and press), or Text link, a small calendar beside underlined words.
  • Calendar icon: Chalkedin (in your chalk colour), or a Windows style, Office style or Outlook style icon to sit comfortably in Microsoft mail. On a button, the icon takes the button’s text colour.

Outlook for Windows draws the button with square corners; most other mail programs round them.

A change applies to the links you copy after saving. An email already sent keeps the link it went out with.

To check, save and then open one of your own links: what you see is what your customer sees.
